Players aged eighteen to twenty six are eligible to play a maximum of six EUCHL seasons. This distinction will allow for graduate students to finish their degree's while still maintaining their eligibility to play. If a player turns twenty seven during the season he will be allowed to finish the season.
Transfer students from North American NCAA, USports, or ACHA programs will have a maximum of five years eligibility provided they fit within the age restrictions.
All players must maintain passing grades while enrolled as full time students at their respective university. Dropping of classes below a full time status will result in disqualification from competition. Failing classes will result in disqualification from competition until the class grade is brought back to passing status.
Fighting is an automatic five minute major, ejection, and additional game suspension. Additional fighting violations incurred by a player will result in additional suplement discipline.
Full cages are mandatory.
Neck guards are mandatory.
Each team is allowed a maximum of three players finishing graduate degree studies.
No former professional players are allowed to play in the EUCHL. The EUCHL does not consider the Canadian Hockey League a professional league.
