EUCHL Teams In Chicago Recruiting

The European Union College Hockey League is out recruiting in Chicago this weekend at the USPHL showcase. Representatives from three of the founding six members are actively talking with and recruiting players for the 2026-2027 season and beyond.

The EUCHL is no different than any other North American college hockey league in that they have the ability to commit to players early and allow them to play junior hockey and develop before enrolling in one of the EUCHL higher learning environments.

"We are committing to players for next year right now.  Like the NCAA, we have to build our clubs for the present and the future."  Said Zac Pearson Hockey Director for the Ostrava Steel Hawks "Our university is one of the top learning institutions in the world.  We offer a great learning environment as well as an incredible life experience while on an accelerated path to graduation in three years."

EUCHL teams will have representatives at league showcase events throughout the United States and Canada in 2026. Look for player commitment announcements in the coming days as they finish their enrollment process.  The EUCHL is where North American talent meets European opportunity.
