EUCHL Opens Search for Expansion Management Coordinator and Referee-in-Chief
The European Union College Hockey League (EUCHL) is preparing for its next stage of growth and is now seeking candidates for two important league-level positions: Expansion Management Coordinator and Referee-in-Chief.
With the EUCHL preparing to begin its inaugural season in October 2026, league officials are building the administrative and competitive infrastructure necessary to support continued growth across Europe. The league has already announced plans for significant expansion in 2027, including the development of a new Alps Division and a broader geographic footprint.
The Expansion Management Coordinator will become an important part of the league's efforts to identify, evaluate and organize prospective new markets and member organizations as the EUCHL expands beyond its initial footprint in the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia.
The league is also seeking a Referee-in-Chief to help establish and oversee the officiating structure of the EUCHL as the league begins competitive play. With multiple countries and hockey systems involved, maintaining consistent officiating standards will be an important component of establishing the league's competitive identity.
“These are two important positions as we move from building the EUCHL to operating and expanding it,” said EUCHL President Joseph Kolodziej. “We are looking for people who understand hockey, understand organizational management and, most importantly, want to be part of building something that can have a lasting impact on college hockey in Europe.”
The EUCHL is designed to provide student-athletes with the opportunity to combine university education with competitive hockey while experiencing life and competition in Europe. The league's inaugural season is scheduled to begin in October 2026.
The addition of these positions represents another step in the EUCHL's preparation for long-term growth. As new teams, markets and countries are evaluated, the league intends to develop a centralized management structure capable of supporting its member organizations while maintaining consistent standards throughout the competition.
Individuals interested in either position are encouraged to contact the EUCHL directly for consideration.
The league is particularly interested in candidates who are prepared to take an active role in helping build the future of European college hockey.
